学校简介
北婆罗洲大学学院位于风景优美的马来西亚沙巴州，沙巴州（Negeri Sabah）简称沙州，旧称北婆罗洲，有“风下之地”之美誉，是马来西亚十三个州之一，首府亚庇（旧称哥打京那峇鲁），位于加里曼丹岛东北部，面积74500平方公里，人口共380.28万（2016年），属于热带雨林气候，沙巴于1881年至1963 年间被英国人统治，直到1963年8月31日起自治（国防、外交、财政、内政等事务仍由英国殖民政府掌管）。1963年9月16日，沙巴加入马来西亚。1984年，沙巴州政府将纳闽分割出来设立成联邦直辖区，是马来西亚唯一的岸外金融中心。

北婆罗洲大学学院(North Borneo University College)于 2006 年成立是一所国际认可的大学，同时亦是英联邦大学协会的成员，是马来西亚沙巴第一所提供博士研究生课程的私立大学，大学被列入中马两国高等教育框架协议，以促进马来西亚政府与中华人民共和国政府之间高等教育学术资格的相互承认，北婆罗洲大学学院的学历受到中国教育部认证

Program Structure 课程结构
The PhD in Business Administration is a postgraduate doctorate with the main focus of the candidate's work to be their contribution to the knowledge base in their discipline or field, through originalresearch, or the original application of existing knowledge and understanding.

工商管理博士学位是研究型博士学位，主要关注学生的作业，通过原创性研究或现有知识和理解的原始 应用，为他们的学科或领域的知识基础做出贡献。

The Stages and Duration 课程阶段和时间
The programme is designed and in compliance with the Malaysian Qualification Framework (MQF) with 80 credits at the Doctorate level (Level 8) with minimum duration of 3 years andmaximum of 6 years. under the mix or hybrid delivery mode consisting of five modules and the thesis.

该计划的设计符合马来西亚资格框架（MQF），在博士级别（8 级）需获得 80 学分，最短完成时间为 3年，最长为 6 年。 在作业与研究混合模式下由五个科目和论文组成。

The PhD has three (3) stages as follow
博士学位分为三（3）个阶段如下：
Stage 1: Coursework / Taught Modules 作业 / 讲堂上课模
Stage 2: Research 研究
Stage 3: Thesis Examination 论文评审

第一阶段学员需在第一年完成以下讲堂上课的作业GPPJ7119-Applied Statistics(4CH) 应用统计(4学分)GPRE7103 - Academics Writing in Disciplines (4CH) 专业学术写作 (4 学分)GPAS7103 - Business Research Methodology (4CH) 商业研究方法论 (4 学分)GPPJ7104 - Competitive & Business Strategy (4CH) 竞争与经营战略 (4 学分)EPDS7103 Doctoral Seminar (4CH) 博士研讨会 (4 学分)

第二与第三阶段 – 论文 (60 学分) THESIS (60CH)
Candidates at this stage will start to undertake and carry out the research based on the approved Research Proposal for their Thesis. This research stage may be carried out on-site / workplace. The Research monitoring work be managed by a field supervisor approved andappointed by 
the university.With meetings with the supervisor and submission of written report on each semester, supervisor must confirm the research report is given satisfactory grade for candidates to prepare final submission of thesis. The Final submitted Thesis should not be less than 30,000but not exceed a word count of 50,000 and will accrue 60 credits.

A ‘viva voce’ examination will be conducted after getting the 2 independent reports from the External and Internal Examiners. The Viva Voce Examination can only be done with the presence of the External Examiner and this can be undertaken via skype or other means of electronic communication as approved by the University should the External Examiner be based overseas.
Student shall be considered as having graduated with the PhD after successfully completingthe viva voce examination and having submitted the corrected thesis as stipulated in the reports given by both the External and Internal Examiners.

现阶段的学生将根据他们的论文批准的研究计划开始进行和开展研究。该研究阶段可以在工作场所或大学校院进行。研究监测工作由大学批准和指定的博士生导师完成。

通过与博士生导师会面并提交每个学期的书面报告，博士生导师必须确认研究报告的博士生能够获得满意的成绩，以准备最终提交论文。最终提交的论文不应少于30000，但不超过50000字数，（以英文提交）， 计60学分。

在获得外部和内部审查员的 2 份独立报告后，将进行博士学位论文答辩。博士学位论文答辩只能在外部考

官在场的情况下进行，如果外部考官在海外，可以通过 skype 或其他电子通讯方式进行。
在成功完成博士学位论文答辩并按照外部和内部考官提供的报告中的规定提交校正论文后，学生应被视为 已获得博士学位。
